Discussion Board format

I don't check out the other discussion boards very often (well, hardly ever!) but I was surprised to see that the other discussion boards have changed to the chat room format - ie no specific threads, just post after post with topics all mixed up. When and why?

THose ones have alwasy been like that. Its only a few like that, the 4 active one selling, user to user, new, and canada town square plus all the recently added ones are the normal forum format. Don't know why they just don't axe the useless chat ones altogether. Or why a few people still try and use them?

Ann, I didn't know that. This one and CTS are the only ones I ever look at and not even that very often anymore. I guess the chat room format is popular with people who are on-line for awhile and want instant response to whatever they have to say. I still prefer the threaded format!

spend 10 minutes on one of those chat boards....there is minimal activity and what there is...well it's pretty much mindless chatter and misinformation.
