EBAY MESSAGES...

good morning ps'ers! 😄
i have a technical question that i'm hoping someone out there knows how to do. i'm going away this weekend for a little over a week, and i wanted to create an automatic reply message stating that to any ebay member that tries to contact me. i went through 'my messages' on ebay, and couldn't find any sort of option to do that...is there another way of doing this? any way? the last thing i want is for someone to try and contact me regarding their parcel (doesn't happen that often, but you never know), and then not get a reply from me, get angry and leave me a negetive. i'd like them to know i can't answer their email because i'm not here, and that i will reply to them on a specified date.
good old ma and pa are still trying to figure out the vcr, let alone have something as 'modern' as a computer!:O

Not as far as I know through eBay. You'd have to look into it through your email program or your server but I don't believe it can be done through eBay. Sorry.

eBay does offer the ability to tell people that you are away on holidays but only if you are a store owner. They do not offer a auto-responder.

It's unlikely eBay would investigate offering this service - it wouldn't make them any money. It would not matter whether a lot of people could use it.

Not only that but having an automated response could give your email addy and/or name to spammers who sign up with eBay only to try to sell you their junk from China. I don't like having eBay do things automatically. They can't even get their billing straight sometimes. I'm not going to trust them to respond to emails for me.
