faerywishes- THANK YOU for taking the time to notice!
And Yes- accepting CANADIAN TIRE MONEY is NOT a joke !!!
I don't suppose many here have actually read what eBay has written in their
CANADIAN ''Accepted Payments Policy''
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html
Permitted on eBay.ca:
Sellers may offer to accept personal cheques, money orders, cashier’s cheques, certified cheques, Canadian Tire Money™ and other negotiable instruments."
As a LONG time shareholder, and supporter of CANADIAN companies, accepting CANADIAN TIRE MONEY is just the RIGHT thing to do!
Most of us shop there- I certainly do, so why not accept it.
We don't sell hugely expensive items- so a handful of Canadian Tire Money is no problem.
(As a founding member of the Canadian Tire Collector's Club" I fought long, and hard lobbying, to get eBay to include Canadian Tire Money as part of their acceptable payments policy. Sadly, with all the NEW changes- CTC Money may become a relic of the past.)
And now for the other TWO questions regarding shipping,m and Proof of Mailing:
"AirMail SHIPPING $1.50 within Canada and the U.S.
Including Alaska and Hawaii,
for your ENTIRE CARD order !"
Many US seller differentiate ALASKA & HAWAII, as their items MAY cost more to ship there, and therefore they are not part of the 48 CONTIGUOUS States shipping rate. As the items we ship cost no more to ship to ALASKA, and HAWAII, we are happy to ship there at the same rate as to the 'lower 48'. PLEASE- be careful. Depending on WHAT you are shipping, this could be disastrous, when encountering HEAVY, and BULKY items.
(though shipping to ALASKA is rare, we regularly ship to HAWAII.)
"ALL "OUT OF CANADA" shipments now sent with
an Official "Proof of Mailing". What is the official "Proof of Mailing"?"
There are apparently NO RESTRICTIONS on exceeding that which is required for Canada Post shipping. The CN22 SMALL PACKET declaration (two part form) may be used on ANY envelope. While a declaration MAY NOT be REQUIRED- one is free to put one on the envelope.
If the local Post Office objects when used for AIRMAIL delivery- clip off the SMALL PACKET indicator in the upper left corner of the top copy.
As this form has BOTH your address- and the buyer's, it serves as a pretty decent proof of mailing. It does not meet PayPal, or eBay's PROOF OF MAILING requirements. HOWEVER- it goes a LONG way to show any customer that the item was in fact mailed. Just keep the copies, and make a jpeg to send to the buyer.
The WHITE two part CN22 replaced the smaller GREEN form- which had no copy, and no provision for addresses. The NEW WHITE CN22 has everything one needs. We go through a 500 pack about every six months. Just ask your local Post Office to order you some.
