Flat Rate Box - Another Question

Hi Everyone,

I'm in Saskatchewan and am trying to figure out what is considered REGIONAL and NATIONAL from here.

Is there a specific place I may look to find this information as I realize it is different for all provinces.

Also...how do territories play into this regional or national division? Are they included?

Thank you for any information you may be able to provide.

Have a good evening!

I'm off to hold my grandbaby!

They are nice for you, it anything from Kenora West to BC.

On the other hand can you really use those flat-rate boxes in any sort of economical way?

Hi Recped,

I'm not really sure. And, after going province by province and looking into what the expedited rate would be for each province and territory for a box that weighed 5 kg and was 28 x 21.5 x 14 cm it looks like it saves about $1.00 for Alberta, within Saskatchewan and Manitoba. National rates..are higher with expedited once this same size is being sent to Quebec and further east.

But otherwise...the savings are minimal and then I still need to buy the boxes.

Shipping to the States...buyers would save accordingly depending on where they are located.

The size of the box works great for Grand Adhesions, Jolee's, 99% of the laser cuts I sell and for sure...the eyelets, brads and buttons. That is where a buyer would get the most for their money.

The kicker is though....it takes A LOT of Jolee's or laser cuts to get to 5 kg and I honestly don't think they would then fit in the box! And, I can only fit 65 Grand Adhesions in the box...doesn't come close to 5 kg...but does save over stated shipping. Eyelets and brads would be the best bet for shipping in these boxes IF a buyer purchases a large amount. And, maybe I've answered my own question....that I should limit these to eyelets and brads.

I see from the link that there is NO FLAT RATE available to the Yukon, NWT or Nunavut. So...no help there.

Okay! Thanks again for the link! I need to ponder what I'll be doing!

Have a good one!

Most have come to the conclusion that it's rare that the planets will align correctly to make the flat-rate box any kind of deal.
