Hello I opened a new basic store. I used to get like 20 FREE insertion listings. So I signed up for the basic store because I wanted the 150 FREE insertion listings. I tried to post my first listing and they want to charge me $.25 cents. **bleep** is this? Why am I getting charged?

Please read the fee schedule very carefully:

Then, read it again.

I think you may also want to read this
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/listing-variations.html
about selling items where multiple sizes are available.
It's a tricky category, and needs the Advanced selling form. The simple one that is shown to most new sellers is not adequate.
As you may know, while you may have 20 'free' listings available to you, as a new seller you are still restricted in the number and value of your listings.
It is not necessary to have a Store to sell on eBay.
Usually, experienced sellers will tell you that unless you have at least 50 unique items to sell, that a Store is not economic. Since you are probably not yet allowed to list that many items, free or not, you may want to drop the Store for the time being.

You are probably getting charged for your auctions. You get 150 fixed price listings for free with a store. If you list in certain collectible categories you also receive 100 free auctions.
Collectibles categories are as follows:
- Antiques
- Art
- Coins & Paper Money
- Collectibles
- Dolls & Bears
- Entertainment Memorabilia
- Pottery & Glass
- Sports Memorabilia, Cards & Fan Shop
- Stamps
- Toys & Hobbies
The information in the spring update seems a little more detailed than the store fee link.
