To remove yourself out from under the crushing weight of ebay's email advertisements:
Find the My eBay at the top right of the page. Click it.
Then choose the Account tab from the left side.
From the far left column under the heading My eBay Views, select Communication Preferences.
Scroll down to Promotions and Surveys hidden waaay at the bottom. Click the word Show over on the right.
You will see they all have check marks. Uncheck all of them (or all that you want rid of).
Be sure to click the Save button after any changes you make.
