How Long Does it Take for Your $$$ to Get from Paypal to your Bank Account???

I used to use the TD Bank and it took a few days for the money I transferred from Paypal to show in my bank account.

Now I'm with he Bank of Nova Scotia and it's taking over a week after it's left Paypal ................ again.

Usually it doesn't matter that much but today it does.

Just wondering:  How long does it take for the money to show up in other people's account when they transfer from paypal and paypal shows that the funds have been released?

I'm so annoyed I'm thinking of going back to TD because when they hold the funds in Limbo like that I'm always suspicious.................  

It should not take a week after Paypal has released the funds.

Who you deal with should make no difference. The problem is, American banks are not centralized. Each one is its' own little enterprise. As was explained to me, ALL funds transfers are funneled through a clearing house in New York.

Paypal is just another one. The money gets sent from Omaha to New York, then on to Canada.

For withdrawals to my Canadian bank account (BMO) initiated before 5:00pm (Eastern) the money is always available online on the second business day - late afternoon or early evening.

For example if I withdraw money on Monday afternoon (before 5:00pm Eastern) the account at PayPal will show "pending".  By late afternoon on Tuesday, it will show "completed".  That 24 hour delay is a security feature in PayPal to protect you. By late Wednesday afternoon or early evening the money will be available in my bank account when I check my account online.

It never ever miss unless there is a Holiday on either side of the border; then add one business day.

For withdrawals initiated after 5:00pm, add one business day.

For withdrawals to credit unions or caisse populaires, add one or two business days.

The more transfers you do the faster it gets.

Usually take about 3 to 4 business days... that is to western Canada..

The less you worry about it... the faster it gets.

I am with Desjardins (Caisse populaire) and it also takes 2 business days if I transfer my funds before 5 p.m.

You replied to a 3 year old thread talking about transfers from paypal to a bank account.

Earlier this year I had a transfer from my bank account to paypal take 10 regular days to transfer, which was a pain to deal with. Bank holidays and weekends do slow the transfer and don't forget that paypal is an American company.
