How does the buyer distinguish between an invoice sent by ebay and one sent by the seller

Occasionally I have received a message from a seller where they say the amount of postage charged on the invoice sent by ebay is erroneous, or I may be sent a second invoice later on which has actually been sent by the seller.

How to distinguish ?
