I bought an item on Ebay and the seller received payment and has already shipped it to me. Why is EBAY showing Payment Pending for 4 days +

I bought an item on Ebay and when I go MYEBAY + Accounts and look at the item I bought, it doesn't show a $ sign.

It shows as Payment Pending.

I called Ebay and they said the seller needs to accept payment.  They accepted payment 2 days ago and it is still saying that it is pending and refuses to show a dollar sign.

The Seller has accepted payment via PAYPAL and it's already been shipped and heading my way.

Let me know if anyone knows what's up with this.

There could be several issues at play.  Have you logged into your paypal account to check the status and info on the payment there? Did you send an echeck payment?   Those can take several days to clear. 

Its also possible that the seller recently changed email addresses for paypal and didn't update that information.  Its also possible that there are other issues with their account that need their attention in order for them to accept the payment. 

Check your paypal account...see what it says there.  Feel free to post further details for more help.

In regards to the Answer you gave.

This happen with 2 seperate sellers on the same day.  One seller I have purchased from before successfuly before and after this issue.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I didn't use my Paypal account for this.  I chose "Don't have a Paypal account" and typed it in manually. 

I do have a paypal account, but was having issues logging on temporarily that day.

Any thoughts?

I don't understand your last post.

You didn't use paypal to pay?  Or do you mean that you had to log into paypal directly to pay? 

Please, as stated earlier, log into your paypal account.  What does the transaction say there?  If it says complete, then you are fine. 

If you had to log into paypal directly do make your payment, it may not update in ebay automatically and that could be why it still says pending in your my ebay.

What counts...is what paypal says though.  So what does it say?

Sorry, what I was saying is that I didn't use my Paypal Account to pay for it.

When I clicked "Pay Now", I chose the option "I don't have a paypal account".

I then typed in my Credit Card information manually and submitted it.  The seller did receive the payment successfully, however EBAY's page continues to show as "Pending" and won't mark the 2 purchases as PAID with a "$" sign.

I usually use my paypal account, but I was having issues remembering my password and chose to pay using the above method.

Shortly after I used my actual paypal account with one of these sellers and the item did successfully get mark as PAID.

However, the previous one and one from another seller continue to stay as "Pending" no matter what we do.

Okay, so you paid directly with a credit card.  The paid icon in your my ebay will not automatically update to paid in that case.  When you pay with paypal, it will, as paypal is linked in.  The seller will likely have to manually change the icon to paid in order for it to change.

In this case, if both you and the seller are confident that the payment has been processed successfully....then there is nothing to worry about.  The icon doesn't change anything for you at all, its for information only....a reminder to pay for your item IF you haven't done so already.

The seller said they accepted payment, but they probably still need to click PAID FOR.

I think it matters for receiving Ebay Bucks.  They won't assign them unless your item is marked is PAID.

Curious...did you try to manually change the icon to paid yourself.  There is a little drop down menu beside each transaction in your items won section....you might be able to change it yourself if its driving you especially crazy to see it.  You should be able to mark as paid.

Does it actually say pending or is it simply marked as unpaid still?

When I put the mouse over where the Dollar $ Sign should be:  It say's "__________ Payment is being processed by Paypal"

When I actually click on -View Order Details-, it says the item has been paid in full and the date.

I can only mark the payment as Unpaid.

I sent an E-mail to both sellers and asked if they can try and manually select PAID.   One was a few hundred and the other item was very expensive.

Well now I'm confuzzled again....I thought you paid with your credit card directly?  Why would it say payment is being processed by paypal if paypal wasn't involved. 

Again, try logging into your paypal account and see if there is any activity there.  That's kinda weird. 

The $3000 item that you purchased from Germany (you are so much better at risk taking than me), the seller doesn't accept credit card payments outside of paypal.
