I contacted a seller in the UK who said she would sell to me in Canada. I bid and my bid was stopped by Ebay. Why?

I contacted a seller in the UK and asked if he or she would sell an item to me in Canada, despite the fact that the seller's site did not say it sold to worldwide. The seller said that she would sell to Canada. I put in a bid the last 10 sec. before the selling time ended and my bid was stopped by Ebay. I never had this happen before and wonder why the bid was not allowed to be sent?

Hi Wayne... Sellers can set Buyer Requirements to block bidders from countries not ship to. Its the norm.

Next time you make such a request add ..if  you have countries not shipped to blocked, please add my ID to your blocked bidder exemption list or ebay will not let me bid.
