I have a CONGRATS email saying I am successful in the purchase of an item; I have "NOT" confirmed any purchase!!!!!!!

I was looking at a "PRESTO salad shooter" & did NOT confirm any purchase.  What gives???  I get (2) emails confirming same purchase including a "used" one at some insane price.  I emailed cancellation yesterday.   Now I get this one.   How do i prevent this from happening in future?  I am not an experienced buyer yet.

History shows 2 purchased items. The only way that can happen is commit to buy , so you did ,whether you believe so or not.

Only seller can cancel a listing and they do not have to. Can file an unpaid dispute and if you do not , ebay assigns a strike to your account. 2 strikes from different sellers and buying is almost impossible for 12 months as most sellers have 2 strike members blocked.

Be sure before committing.
