I have a ONE Customer who left bad Feedback, Not Correct in his Summations!

Hello,

I sold a HO model Truck Brand New Unopened. Original packaging, The truck's Regular US retail is $17.95 + $15.00 US shipping to Canada.

It was listed on my site for Canadian $12.00 and $6.00 Shipping cost, which cost me $16.00 to send to a USA address. The Customer then left me Bad Feedback saying it was a BAD Deal, but now I see He has changed it to : Bad quality for the price! I wrote to Him and said I will refund $5.00 Canadian to make Him feel better about His Purchase,  He said I claimed the Truck was Herpa Quality and NO where in my ad did I mention the Word Herpa!  He refused and said He want's $12.00 US dollars! I said No I will give you $12.00 Canadian as this truck has already cost me $16.00 to send to you! I was trying to give Him a Refund but His email address is wrong and would not work!  As I spent probably 3 days trying to remedy this situation I began to think why should I lose so much as He was not even going to return the Truck to me!   So I said to Him I don't like  "Blackmail" and it is against Ebay Policy also, just leave your negative comments so I can sleep at night with a clear conscience!

What else can I do as I feel I did not make this Truck,  Everything in my ad was TRUE about the Truck,  I sold it at a very LOW price from what I paid for it and what it's Regular US Retail is listed at!  This Bad Feedback is so UNFAIR I wish I could have it removed as it tarnishes my EXCELLENT Feedback from everyone ELSE that leaves Glowing Feedback about my Quality Service and Fast Shipping!

                 Thank You, Ken

" What else can I do"

Accept the simple fact that the buyer was unhappy with the transaction.  End of story.

And move on.

The negative feedback will drop off in a year from now.

You could try calling ebay Customer Service to ask for Feedback Removal if it looks like there was grounds for Extortion in your ebay Messages.

Does his Feedback for Others indicate he's impossible to please?

By making reference to something in the ad that wasn't actually there, your buyer might have fallen victim to the email that ebay sends sometimes to people telling them a similar item is on sale at a better price. If that buyer doesn't actually LOOK a the link sent to them by ebay, he or she may well end up buying an item that's not what they intended. There is a thread here http://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/Ebay-emailing-buyers-with-better-deals/m-p/318843#M51602. You'll have to review your messages from the buyer to see what he or she says and whether it fits.

Or you could leave a Follow-up to Feedback indicating the buyer was mistaken. Don't fly off the handle with that. It would only make you look bad.

Or you could add this buyer to your Blocked Bidders list, and spit twice in his general direction and simply move on like pierrelebel says.

I'm more of a fight-till-I've-dropped person much to my general demerit. Pierre is wiser than I in most ways.

In the end, it happens here and it's not fair. It won't matter much after the Spring when new seller evaluations come into play.

You can't please everyone. Some people can never be made happy.

But I'd question him about the reason he thought this train was something else first.

You have to go to the next page. The seller has been very busy and everyone but this GUY has been pleased.

I'd like to reiterate that if your buyer said at any point, GIMME MONEY OR I'LL LEAVE BAD FEEDBACK you have what should be clear grounds for removal due to Feedback Extortion. Whether the people who are Feedback Specialists at Customer Service will agree is another matter.
