PayPal pays sellers in the currency of their listing. If listing was in canadian dollars there is no conversion fee involved. Check "details" of your payment to see what occurred.
Many canadian sellers list in US funds which means PP will convert and charge a conversion fee of 2.5 %
I see a listing in CDN and should not be converted. Can call PP toll free @ 1-888-221-1161.
