I received my chess computer order but is works not correct. Who can give me answer on my question classic Fidelity Electronics Challenger 8
Nr1 which AC (adaptor) I have to use 6-7,5 or 9 v.?
Nr. 2 Starting the program always must show the light on 1 H -my chess show always 1 D and I never can start. So I think the company not check the program before delivery.
The box I received was in a good condition and not possible to damage the system. There was also no manual instruction but through google I can find it.
I have the same chess computer already for nearly 20 years that why I order a new one because the electronic from my old one not works anymore.
Hoping someone can give an answer or will take back this chess computer and repair it. I not want my money back I want to use this chess computer.
Regards
Mr.Jochen Schmitz

is this the one?
Fidelity Electronics Challenger 8
"Sensory Chess Challenger "8" is Fidelity's first thinking chess game that 'sees' every move you make. Board uses 4 'D' batteries (not included). 8 levels of play. Owner's Manual Instruction Booklet. Two sets of pieces. Has outlet for optional a/c adaptor (not included)"
Have you tried testing it with 4 D size batteries rather than using an adaptor?
Since D size batteries are typically 1.5V one would expect the adaptor would need to supply 6V (1.5V x 4).
Also note that not all a/c adaptors use the same connection plug, so you need one that has a plug that matches the chess game.
