I want to know a little about leaving feedback with respect to a purchase. The item was a 13 ft ext

I need to know if feedback is only about the transaction ie shipping and condition or is the quality of the item recieved a part of the feedback process.

FB is the giver's opinion on the transaction. Before slamming a seller, try to work it out.

There really isn't a defnite answer to your question because it depends on the situation and on how the seller handled the problem if you complained.

Feedback should be for things that is within the sellers control....it isn't a product review. If the seller misrepresented the product, then it is reasonable to base your feedback on that. If the product is faulty when you receive it and that wasn't noted in the listing and the seller does not want to let you return the product for a refund...that reflects upon the seller. If the item wasn't built well by the manufacturer or if you just don't like it and prefer another brand..that should not be relected in the seller's feedback. When it comes to the quality of an item, I think that the buyer has to take some responsibility and do their due diligence before they make a purchase and check to see how that product is rated. If you really think the item is poor quality I suppose you could note that in your positive feedback but not blame the seller for it.

When you rate shipping time, you should be rating the amount of time the seller took to ship the item....did they mail it within their stated delivery time.
For shipping cost...that one is controversial....If you know what the shipping cost is ahead of time and you agree to it, then many sellers say that you should not give poor feedback even if you think it is high.  I think that if you agreed to pay $20 in postage and the parcel shows it cost the seller $3 in postage (plus the cost of supplies)...then I can understand why you would be upset and that your feedback might relect that you are unhappy.
