I was bidding on an article. Buy it now price showed up of $200.00. I bid and still lost by a bid of $202.50 WHY?

Had been bidding on some motorcycle parts and my last bid was confirmed at $ 177.00. Below the confirmed price was a buy it now at $ 200.00. So I bid at  $200.00 thinking that I had purchased the item. Came home later that afternoon and found out I had been outbid by a bid of $202.50. How could I lose the auction when I bid the buy it now price. I emailed the seller and he said he had nothing to do with it and it was up to Ebay. Whats up with that

Hi.. had you click Buy it Now the item would have been yours. My guess is the Bin disappeared and another member sniped a bid higher than your $200.

The BIN should have disappeared @ your $177 being over 50%. of BIN price, assuming no reserve price was involved.
