INR case without Ebay notification and without hold on funds

I found INR case from ebay.co.uk in Resolution Center that I did not know about. Normally we always receive email notification when case is opened, but not this time, I only found it week later. Usually I have no reason to visit RC, because most issues are resolved via communication, but there is no communication from this buyer and only went to mutually cancel something from different buyer and noticed this case,

What's even more interesting, the payment is not held.

This is new to me. Maybe because it's from ebay.co.uk ? But I had INR cases from there and don't recall no notice and no hold.

I'm not positive, but it seems to me that I heard a while ago that some sellers would not have funds put on hold when a case was opened. I don't know what the criteria was.

The lack of notice is probably a glitch....not that there are ever any glitches on ebay.:^O

Yesterday got another INR case opened on ebay.com, and again no PayPal hold. There was proper email notice about case being open.

The one from UK already closed, buyer received the item. The closing had notice.

The lack of notice is probably ebay glitch like pjcdn2005 suggested. Lack of hold, I am not complaining, it's fewer bookkeeping records to take care of - must be some new policy.

Lat night I noticed a thread about the no holds on the U.S. Powersellers boards.

Well, that must be it. I don't recall any email from PayPal, but there is no holds. I have Canadian PayPal account but list on Ebay.com

Anyone who had recent INR case cares to comment if they got their finds held ?
