If you miss the deadline on a No payment claim, how can you cancel the order when the option is gone

It has been over a month and I have still not received payment on an item.  Buyer is new so I didn't press (just an e-mail here and there) and item was only $10 so not a big deal.  However, enough time had passed and buyer did not respond so I put a Non Payment Claim in.  EBay came back with a date timeline and, unfortunately, I missed the deadline.  I got an e-mail, telling me that it had expired and I would not be getting my final sale credit back and that the buyer should be contacted for payment.  Again, not a lot of money so to just make this go away, I was going to cancel the order.  However, now on the More Options page, there is no more opportunity to cancel -- that option is gone.  And, then, wouldn't you know, the buyer e-mailed me shortly after telling me which way he wanted it shipped.  I forwarded him another copy of the invoice and told him he had to pay first before I would ship it .... he had explained to me previously that he was very busy and sometimes unable to check his e-mail, I thought that maybe he would pay this time ........ but he has not.  I am not an overly seasoned eBayer myself and this is the first time this has happened to me.  My question:  How do I go about just cancelling this whole order if he doesn't pay very soon?

Forget the whole thing.

Put the buyer on your Block Bidder List as a timewaster.

The fees are just a small business expense.

The transaction will age out. You can manually delete it from your items sold if you like, but don't until...

After 60 days the deadbeat bidder will no longer be able to leave feedback or Detailed Seller Ratings. (The latter are much more important.)

In future, send non-payers a reminder on Day Three after purchase.

Open the Unpaid Item Dispute on Day Four, if you have not been paid.

In my experience, about half of these are just slow or scatty and pay up with apologies at the reminder.

I find it useful to mark on my calendar dates like UID deadlines.
