Is eBay sending check to buyers?

Hello 

i receive a check from a seller and they ask me to transfer money to eBay account. I searched at the Internet and  it says eBay won't deal with money stuff. So I am just hesitate if they are sending me a fake check.

Sounds like a SCAM to me.

Why would a seller send you a check in the first place.

Did you buy something from this particular seller.

It doesn't sound like you were involved in an ebay transction because:

1. Seller's don't send checks

2. Ebay is not a bank so how could you deposit a check in your "ebay account"?

3. Scammers aren't smart enough to use the right terminology. That is why they should be easy to spot.

Cease all communications with the scammer.

As asked  previously , could you please click on respond and briefly why a cheque was sent to you. I agree , sure sounds like a scam. Cheques can take 30 days for bank to clear and were you send money, fake and scammed.

What you describe is not ebay.
