Is it possible to make more than 3 offers/counter offers on a buy it now? I would have done it different if I knew I only had three.

I made 3 offers/counter offers on a buy it now guitar. My last offer was $1700. Then I realized from the ebay message that i was locked out of making another offer. Ca I have the offer clock reset so I can make another offer?
