It isn't urgent but I would just like to leave an email and worry about it later, not sit on the phone for however long it takes. If I click customer support then I get a search bar that doesn't find my topic and a bunch of topics that don't apply. Then clicking on "contact us" just gives a bunch more topics that don't apply. It seems that the only available option is to phone them.
When trying to buy something and wanting the postage calculated, my postal code (changed by the post office almost a year ago even though I am in the same house) is not recognised by ebay. Surely a year is enough time to include accurate postal codes or at least put pressure on whatever source they are using.

Did you change the postal code in your ebay profile.

Yes, but that's irrelevant anyway.
When you push the button to calculate shipping you have to manually enter the postal code, my "new" one is not recognised.

Hello 'sunjuggler',
<<I would just like to leave an email and worry about it later, ... It seems that the only available option is to phone them.>>
That's correct. I suppose it is because the tens of millions of ebay users could send endless emails which
would be extremely labour-intensive and thus costly to wade through. So for those who have a sincere inquiry
there is the phone-call option, which can be tedious and time-consuming, but you will eventually get a real human
and the whole thing keeps ebay fees down.
As for the postal code, if you are trying to determine the cost to your house, would it work if you entered, say,
the local library's postal code? Your city hall? History museum?
You know, some easily-attainable postal code for a nearby building which ought not to have been re-zoned.
Just a thought.

It's a good thought, however, the entire town has one postal code. It identifies the small post office in town where everyone goes to pick up their mail.

"It identifies the small post office in town"
Is it possible that the letter "o" and numeral "0" have been inverted? or the letter "l" and numeral "1"?
