Item to highest bidder.ebay to respond as a suspicious buyer. I want to offer next bid

Why do I have to wait 10 days for the ability to offer a legit bidder as e bay e mailed me and said he was not even a member.
it was a long healthy no reserve item and next bidder is only $10 apart.
why does my item number (261989547385 ) not allow me to offer item to an honest e Bayer who would likely buy it immediately.
if I re list the no reserve item agIn I may only see half of the second chance bid.
please allow me a number to type in and get a second chance offer in before other bidders go cold.
please resolve this ASAP and e mail so I can complete the sale possibly.

kind Regards,

Can you explain that again? Your listing number doesn't lead me to anything. Did the winning bidder close their account? Ask for a Cancellation? Or did you open an unpaid item case? I'm not understanding the 10-day aspect to this question. You can offer anyone a 'second-chance' on an auction as soon as it ends. This provision is normally for multiple items however.

Go to the Search bar at the top of this page. Look right to the Advanced link.

Enter the customer's eBay ID.

If he is NARU (not a registered user) this is a Very Bad Thing and you should be super-cautious about dealing with him. Like, don't.

Hmm. Does he want you to end you running auction and sell to him?

Don't.

These are sketchey to scammy offers that often are made to new(ish) sellers.

You have a real bidder, I gather. And most bids happen in the last few minutes of an auction.

At best, you make an extra $10 -- I think that is what is happening. At worst, he doesn't pay and your current high bidder moves on to another more reliable seller.

But there is no 10 restriction on second-chance bids that I know of.

Did your first auction end with no bidders?

Or did you have multiple identical items that you can now offer to the underbidders?

And don't start auctions at 99 cents with free shipping.

I know eBay encourages this. But they are wrong.

Start at a price that covers all your costs (include an allowance for shipping if you are offering Free Shipping) because you may only get one bidder. Look at your list of bids-- see the bottomfeeder who hoped to scoop up a valuable item for $6?
