I have been desperately trying to send photos of a damaged unit I received to the seller. I have taken photos with my cell phone and re-sized them to the appropriate sizes for ebay, however i still receive a message when trying to attach photos to a message to the seller saying "server error, please remove and try again". Sometimes I get this at 7% transfer, sometimes at 90%. I have used different computers and have tried different browsers. I have also tried various sizes (less than 5MB and greater than 500px wide). I have also tried jpeg and png file formats.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to resolve this issue within a reasonable time frame and I cannot do so without posting pictures of the shipment damage.
Here is a screen capture of the error message i receive
Thanks

Hello argo22_2005,
I'm happy to get this looked at by the Messaging team. Can you send me an email at raphael@ebay.com and attach 2-3 of the images you're trying to upload, as well please include the following information:
Operating system & Version
Browser & version
Step by step description of what you do to get to the error (please put as much detail as possible)
In the meantime, if you haven't tried already, can you see if using the "Select photos from your computer" button as opposed to dragging and dropping the images?
Thanks!

I would like to know when the 2 major issues affecting the canadian site will be fIxed.
first Issue, when listing with calculated shipping all the sites we show up as shipping not specified in all searches which puts us at the very bottom of the list.
second issue, most sites if they can't even find our listings can only purchase 1 item because we do not have shopping carts and every other side does; Canadian items are not allowed in the shopping carts and they took away the commit to buy page which forces the person after 1 purchase to pay it with paypal. I spoken to customer service about this I'm number of times and they tell me they're trying to work on the problems but do not have an estimated time when this will be fixed. This is the worst it error I seen in my 10 years of selling on eBay.

Kalvin
Are you going to answer bcwet's issues?
I have lost 90% of my sales because of the issues raised by bcwet. this is a very serious situation we Canadian sellers find ourselves in.

Hi bcwet,
Thanks for the report - it's a known issue regarding your listings showing as 'Shipping Not Specified'. We're hoping to have it resolved as soon as possible.
As for your second concern, we're hoping to have Shopping Cart on eBay.ca sometime this year - an announcement will be made when this feature is ready to be used.

I'm sorry but that answers not good enough I think Ebay should be refunding our money.
a lot of us have lost almost all of our sales this is ridiculous. Don't you think you should be taking this more seriously?

It is not just her listings...this affects all Canadians" listings.
What do you suggest we do when our listings do not show up internationally?
Would appreciate an answer,

The ways things are set up on other sites right now, a shopping cart on .ca will only be useable for those shopping on ca for listings done on .ca. Although both the.com and uk sites have shopping carts, the option to add to cart only shows if the listing is originating from that particular site. For example, if I am on .com, I don't have the option of adding a uk sellers listing to the cart.
Is this going to be changed as well? I find it very frustrating that ebay has made so many categories that require instant payment (even though we already had the option to do that on our own if we wanted to) but yet they didn't make sure that the different sites were set up properly so that on every site, people could pay more for than one item at a time. This is just as frustrating to buyers as it is to sellers.

also the second issue isn't just about shopping carts. If people can even find us and they want to buy more than one item eBay does not allow them to any longer.

It is not polite to ignore questions asked....you have not replied to either of my questions. Why?????

We're definitely fully aware of these issues and facilitating these sessions on a weekly basis so we can hear about these types of concerns. To be clear, this is currently only affecting calculated shipping listings, which is a small percentage of listings on the site. Rest assured, that even if it's just one report, we take all of them seriously, and this is one that we're working fixing as soon as possible.

I totally agree PJ I've had people just totally give up when trying to buy more than one item and the sales I could have had I've lost. EBay IT department has just totally screwed this whole thing up. I totally disagree Kalvin with you, calculated shipping is the most prominent on the Canadian site because we do not have one common shipping cost for across Canada

Calculated shipping is what most Canadians use. it is the only way we know what to charge other Canadians as postal rates differ from one postal code to another.

Hi pjcdn2005,
Cart is something we are expecting to launch on eBay.ca this year and yes, this is something that will be changed. You'll be able to add any BIN item to the Cart, regardless of what site the seller listed it on, or more specifically, what currency the item was listed in.
If I may offer some depth on that issue in particular, the reason the "old Cart" would not let you add foreign items was that the Cart was currency-specific. You wouldn't be able to add items listed in $CAD or £ to the US Cart. There's something that we needed to fix in order to launch Cart in Canada since our listings are both in $CAD and $USD.

Hi bcwet,
Not sure we're fully understanding the issue here, so let me just clarify a couple of things & maybe please provide additional info so we're on the same page?
1. Exposure doesn't get affected by the 'Shipping Not Specified' issue, your listings should still be visible. In fact, it may even be helping your ranking as your item may appear like it's offering free shipping since a cost isn't being displayed on the Search Results Page.
2. Shopping cart - even without this feature on eBay.ca, buyers still have the option of paying for multiple items at once. Let's say if a buyer won a few auctions, they can go through checkout in one go. The same with Fixed Price listings - unless they've got Immediate Payment (in which case those items must be paid for individually).
Thanks,

That may be one of the problems but almost all of my listings are in U.S. $ but only the ones that were done on .com can be added to a cart on the .com site. For example..item 350975042236. It is in U.S. $ and was listed on .ca so the option to add to cart on .com is not available.

Sorry for the confusion, I should probably have been more specific here. The currency issue is what made the existing Carts be built site-specific. No eBay site other than Canada works with dual currencies, so we had to get this built into the Cart before we launched it on our site.

I agree your not understanding. Shipping not specified puts us at the bottom of the search list After every other country shipping not specified used to indicate that you didn'toffer shipping to that country so they put you to the bottom of the list that's where we are now. most Canadians who don't sell stamps or screws use calculated shipping not the least Canadians the most or the majority of Canadian sellers on here another thing you're wrong about it's virtually impossible do you sell an item with flat rate shipping in Canada because of the discrepancies and prices between postal codes.
second nobody from any other country can buy more than one item from us because they took away the commit to buy page and instead forward the seller right to Paypal to pay for the 1 Item
