I think we've all had our fill of GSP posts!! (me for sure - it's taken over the whole Boards!) but thought you'd like to read this one. I purchased two very small items from the States a couple of days ago, no GSP of course - NEVER WILL. Anyway, we kind of got "talking", he was telling me about himself and other sellers he knows losing so many Canadians as buyers. I mentioned that one of my Saved Sellers that I order from regularly - just makeup which has been discontinued in Canada, so very low $, was enrolled in GSP and I questioned her on it. She was so nice, but absolutely clueless about what it entailed and quickly opted out. This was the response from the most recent seller which I thought you might like to read:

Yes the postal service has gotten really high on shipping small packages (and the Global Shipping Program is VERY HIGH).....I actually use a wholesale company that contracts for the United States postal service....so i am able to pass the savings on to my customers....I believe it takes slightly longer to receive the package but not always...it is really hard to tell with the postal service now...they are getting very inconsistent with delivery time.
I had done the same thing....not realizing how high the postage was.Thanks again for your order"
