Your seller is using the Global Shipping Program which is a Seller Protection program for US and UK sellers who would not otherwise ship internationally.

Because he will ship to Canada, his listings will show on dotCA. The actual location of the item (and usually of the seller) will be on the original listing.

The amounts showing as GLOBAL are the import fees, so, no, you will not be charged more on your doorstep.

Many Canadians do not realize that the duty-free maximum is $20Cdn ($16USD).

After that we can expect to pay duty (if the item was not manufactured in a country we have a Free Trade Agreement with*) but duty is usually not very much, one or two per cent of the stated value.

But we also pay Canadian sales taxes which can add another 15% or so to the cost.

Then there is the international tracked and insured shipping.

Your item should go from the seller to Erlanger KY, where the GSP plant is.

Don't Panic.

The GSP, like USPS and Canada Post uses spoke and hub distribution.

The tracking number will change there.

Then it comes to Canada and will probably be delivered by Canada Post.

If you are not home when the carrier arrives, you will get a Notice telling you where and when you can pick it up. Bring ID.

The GSP has no particular merit for buyers.

It is very secure and about as fast as regular shipping via USPS/Canada Post and cheaper than UPS/FedEx.

*And that's manufactured, not sold. The location of the seller is irrelevant. .
