My GSP package tracker hasn't updated

Once it arrivesd in Erlanger, KY, it will ship via Pitney Bowes and get an entirely new tracking number. Sometimes that tracking number doesn't update for a while, or even until after your item arrives. Sometimes if you're lucky, the new tracking information will update on eBay within a day or two, and you'll get to track the package from there. But I've found that this rarely happens.

Basically, with the GSP, you have to assume that you won't see much in the way of tracking information once the item gets to Kentucky. Just one of the many reasons I avoid all sellers who ship via the GSP.

My GSP package tracker hasn't updated

Hello 'cajaso',

<<My problem is that my tracker hasn't updated . . . should i assume the worst>>

No, no, no, .  .  .  never assume the worst.  That is a short-cut to high blood pressure.

Your item is clearly on its way so I see no need to file a claim whatsoever.  This isn't ordering pizza, -- "14 days or it's free".

What kind of claim did you propose to open?  There is no such thing as a 'slow shipping claim',  or a  'failure to update tracking claim'.

In the weird event that your item (or any item, for that matter) does not arrive, on ebay you have 30 days after the last estimated delivery date in which to file a claim for non-receipt.

If that day passes, you can open a paypal claim up to 180 days (nearly 6 months) from when you paid.  That is loads of time even for large parcels coming from overseas by a slow boat.

You are right that trying to follow a parcel sent via the GSP is irksome, particularly for people who cannot simply grab the delivery card and promptly run to their local depot to retrieve it.  If this includes you in any way, you can always call Pitney-Bowes with your transaction information and sweetly ask them for a tracking number so you can make your arrangements.

That said, if you receive an item that is not as described in the listing (or has been damaged in transit or at the Kentucky facility) then you will indeed want to open a claim for Not As Described.

But cross that bridge when you come to it.

<< I am really agitated and angry right now due to lack of info they give.>>

It's annoying but no reason to work yourself into a lather.  The item will arrive, -- and given how vexing you find the whole process to be, -- in future find sellers who do not use the GSP.

Set up your Search parameters by making sure you are using the List  View (right side of the page), and choosing Item Location from the left side of the page.  Try Canada Only, -- if you can find a Canadian seller offering what you want, it will come straight to you as quick as the postal system will allow.

Or expand to North America and choosing Price + Shipping from the Sort bar, - ignore all those listings which say in pale grey:

Customs services and international tracking provided

That indicates a GSP item and clearly you will live a more serene existence without the fury and frustration.  Sometimes you have to do a lot of sifting and scrolling, but it is worth the time and even worth spending a bit more money to buy from a seller directly using the postal system.

For now, just sit back and relax.  Your GSP item will be with you eventually, . . .  haha, perhaps all the sweeter for the wait. Smiley LOL
