My bid was cancelled - who can cancel my bid?

My bid was cancelled just before the sale period ended, and when I checked the history to find out why, it just said "OK".  Who else can cancel my bid, and what reasons do they need?

The seller cancelled your bid and they do not have to give you a reason.

It was probably because the bids were not high enough.
