I have bought an item from a seller in USA and I am from Canada. My item was purchased on March 17. It is now March 31 and it has been in the KY Global Shipping Program Centre since March 24 with absolutely no updates and I am starting to get worried since the seller told me after they ship it to this location the transaction it completely out of his hands basically meaning I am screwed if it gets "lost".. Should I be worried ?? How long does it usually stay in this location and will I receive a new tracking number at some point ? It says April 5 is the deadline for my item to arrive. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED. Thank You!

it has been in the KY Global Shipping Program Centre since March 24
Thursday March 24 your item is recorded as arriving in KY.
Friday March 25-- GOOD FRIDAY
Saturday March 26
Sunday March 27-
Monday March 28 -EASTER MONDAY (but not a US holiday)
The record was of the USPS delivery to the plant. Your purchase may or may not have moved since then. The USPS number can't tell you because the USPS service ended at that point.
will I receive a new tracking number at some point ?
No.
But that's not important.
The reason for tracking is to protect the Seller from phoney Item Not Received claims. It does you, the buyer, no good at all.
And seems to have caused you anxiety.
If you are not home when the (probably Canada Post) carrier arrives, she will leave a Notice telling you where and when you can pick up your parcel.
It says April 5 is the deadline for my item to arrive.
Today is Thursday March 31.
April 5 is next Tuesday.
It's not a deadline. It's an estimate/prediction/guess.
This is why I hate tracking.
You are all upset because a parcel that probably won't arrive until next week was recorded arriving somewhere just before an important national and religious holiday.
And because the GSP does not bother to make their internal tracking numbers easily available-- another failing of a poorly designed program.
But tracking does not move anything faster. It does not prevent damage. It does not insure against damage (and if it did the payment would go to the seller who directly paid for it).
meaning I am screwed if it gets "lost"..
NO.
You are covered by eBay and by Paypal's Buyer Protection Programs.
And again.
IT'S NOT DUE UNTIL APRIL 5.
NEXT TUESDAY.

Hello. Do not be worried that your item is not here yet! Items usually arrive ON the estimated delivery date. I have had items come before it, but items rarely come after that date. As femmefan1946 said, it is not a deadline. I am in the US and have shipped to Canada before using the GSP. I have noticed that some items do stay in Global Shipping Center longer than other places..
Hope this helps.
