An envelope arrived yesterday that was supposed to have a necklace in it. Imagine my surprise when I opened it to find a wee box with a piece of cotton batting, no necklace. Large sticker on the packaging that said Re-Sealed by Global Shipping" so it was opened at least once in transit between US and Canada. Somewhere between global shipping building and my home, someone pocketed this necklace. This was tracked through Global Shipping and I want to file a complaint as somewhere between there and here is a very dishonest person. i can't find any option in EBay customer support for something such as this and I have already been in touch with the seller, who has 100% positive feedback. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you.

If you file a case for Item Not as Described I'm pretty sure there's an option for package arrived empty.
Also, please keep us informed how your case progresses. The GSP repackages so many (maybe all, I don't know) of the items they process there is bound to be some loss.
However, I doubt it was intentional. It's easy to envision how a necklace could be lost when they the GSP repacks the items processed at their hubs.

There have been a few (3-4) recent posts in the last week about missing items in GSP and all jewellery. At least that is what I remember.
It seems odd that there are a few reports like this in the same time.
Is there a thief working at the GSP center? Small items, easy to pocket?
Anyone else notice this in recent posts?

"Is there a thief working at the GSP center? Small items, easy to pocket?"
...or anywhere else along the delivery system. The fact the parcel was opened in Kentucky is no evidence that the item was stolen in KY. The theft could have happened anywhere along the line, including the final delivery carrier.
We all have seen posts of buyers claiming parcel arrived without the item inside and those had nothing to do with GSP.

Hello 'pocomo...',
<<There have been a few (3-4) recent posts in the last week about missing items in GSP and all jewellery. . . .

Yes, that is odd, isn't it. I think what 'sylviebee' said may be perfectly true, -- that a small item like a single piece of
jewelry could easily fall out and get lost in re-packaging, particularly if it wasn't somehow taped to a card or to the
inside of the box or something.
I am wondering if the GSP labels have handlers' codes the way many organizations have number or letter codes
to indicate who did what. If, say, there were a disproportionate number of 'missing' items when "Number 27" was
re-packing, then perhaps "Number 27" will need to use more care and attention, to say the least.
If an item is not allowed into Canada, I am sure they wouldn't remove the item but send the box. Surely not.

At the British depot everyone is searched entering and leaving, typical security screening with metal detectors. They do give some thought to the possibility of staff pilfering. Or indeed, adding stuff to packages.

The new reality in today's terrorist plagued world to keep all as safe as possible. Sad that the world has come to this state of mind.
