NERVOUS to ship a $600.00 item to a 1 Feedback buyer. Need ADVISE??

Sold an Xbox 360 with Halo 3 for $599.99. Buyer has 1 Feedback with a comfirmed address. Would I be safe to ship and get a signature with CanadaPost or should I ship as a special delivery signature.

Any help would be great. Fed Ex or UPS instead of Canada Post.

I sold a $2,325 (plus shipping) item to a zero feedback bidder last week. And he was in the UK. He emailed me after the auction asking what form of payment I would prefer. Told him bank wire transfer. He asked (and got) my info and 36 hours later, the money was in my acount. My bank charged me $14 which, when factoring in ship charges, works out to 0.5% compared to 3.9% from Paypal and lets not forget their less than favourable US/Canadian exchange rate.

You must get a signature for any item over $250 to qualify for Paypal Seller Protection. As long as you cross your t's and dot your i's, things should go smooth for you. Best of luck.

I would use FEDEX since they offer a service called DIRECT SIGNATURE which means that the PERSON who's name is on the delivery manifest is the only one that can sign if the person is not at home then they try two more attempts - then the item is sent back to you.

If I were you I would send with UPS or Fedex and request a signature and you shouldn't have any problems.

Looks like your transaction went through okay. What shipping method did you go with? I was going to suggest Purolator Ground Shipping. I don't have the luxury of UPS or FedEx where I live (they deliver but don't pick up).

Canadian Customer who Paid by Paypal.. Sent Canada Post with signature...

Good stuff -- you're ok for up to $1000 then.

It wasn't all that long ago when you pretty much weren't protected by PayPal if you shipped to anyone other than Verified US buyers regardless of the value.

That's one area I'm sure greatful they improved in!
