Now they may give a 1 cent or 10 cent listing day to hide this shortly, but it is clear that sellers, at least, are not so much in favour of the changes.

Since Ebay derives it's revenue from Sellers, and from the fees their Sellers pay Paypal after the transaction, Ebay's revenues must also show some drop off in the weeks following their new policy implementation.

More bidders? Happier bidders? Could be, but when all the sellers leave, what will people bid on? Shoppers.com items and Chinese stuff?? I doubt it.

Some very experienced and succesful sellers have noted, they have reduced their on Ebay sales by as much as 66% to 95%. The phrase "I'm concentrating on my off Ebay site" has become the new catchphrase.

How long will John Donahoe persist in this disastrous course of action? It is time to admit that the ship is sinking, before the water is up to your neck.

Everyone makes mistakes John, it takes a real leader to admit theirs and reverse course.

Hello to everyone,
I am new to the duscussions, but not new to arguing with Ebay and PayPal.

I am so upset with the new feedback system, it is an outrage, how it is possible in a democratic society to allow such an equality.The buyer is all mighty and we are digrated to no say. I already got first negative feedback although I shipped expedited parcel - had a tracking number, opened a claim with Canada Post, provided all the information, fully refunded the client and still she left negative. People don't understand that when we ship and it leaves our warehouse, it is beyond our control.
The whole feedback system is a joke and as mentioned by other sellers, no sellers, no buyers.

I feel for ya, this feedback system really is insane. I see that the fair folks at eBay even removed your comment that you left for your buyer. Isn't that just great. Not only can we not leave a well warranted negative to warn other sellers about a deadbeat buyer, but we can't even leave any kind of honest evaluation without it being removed. Get yer websites up and runnin' people!!!

thank you for the reply, now I am realy fuming, I think that all sellers should stop selling for 5 days, and then lets, see what Ebay will do without sales. I wanted to worn other sellers against this uneducated buyer and look what happened, they removed the feedback and left negative, although I provided all the information and paid more for the expedited parcel.

I think that from the human rights PERSPECTIVE, if we will go agains Ebay, they will loose big time and change the feedback system back to what it was. In seller/buyer enviorement we should trust each other. The way it goes now, we the sellers projected as a liers and conartists and the buyers are the "naive and innocent soles" WHAT A JOKE!!!!!

They still avarage about 13 million listings . They really have not changed much ither way . If you check last year around this time they dipped to the high 10 million . Dont see where policy has changed the amount of listings much just pissed more ppl off 😄

We all have differing views, both positive and negative about the overall ebay experience.

While most of us are trying to find a way to deal with ebay's newest "improvements" to the system, I have never seen such widespread disillusionment with their direction. Over the past 8 years I have seen ebay make many, many decisions which have resulted in widespread anger, however...I have NEVER seen the reaction that we are seeing now.

John Donahue has made some really, REALLY big blunders here. It is only a matter of time (less than more) until he is replaced. The accountants will only be able to fudge the numbers for one quarter to cover his butt...then all hades will break loose. Those that can hang in and weather the storms will be okay in the long run.

wise words and I hope that John Donahue will be replaced the sooner the better. I don't know if I can hang much longer in such inferno. Everyone wants a piece of you and to top it all, the seller became an escape goat or a black sheep that can be abused, manipulated, smacked etc.The buyer now owns the seller, it's like the kids are ruling the country, what a chaos. I think sellers should orgenize and do something about Ebay new rules and show Mr. Donahue who rules the game here.

Don't know anything about John Donahue but I expect John Donahoe will be running eBay for quite a long time to come.

Ummmm.....I always thought you were pretty well versed on ebay but this comment is totally false.

John Donahue has been pulling the strings behind the scenes since Meg announced her intention to leave. They gave him free reign to redesign ebay to his vision and this is the result.

From what is being said all over regarding the changes at eBay- it certainly ain't pretty !!!
