I was just on the eBay.com site and saw this announcement.

***New eBay Stores Experience***

Does anyone know if eBay.ca will get this?
And if we do, when?

I was able to do the preview, but when I did try it, it doesn't allow me. Also I don't see that update or couldn't find anything in help about this.

Have a look at my store, this is what the new ebay store looks like.

I actually love it better than my old store. I haven't done a whole lot with it yet, which I will do when I have time

I just went and looked! I like the new look!!

How were you able to get this? Are you on eBay.com?

I went and did the preview with mine, liked it and tried to try the new look but it didn't work.

Go to Manage My Store: Summary.

Right under that you should be able to opt in, that is all I did.

During this limited transition period, you can choose to opt out of the the new eBay Stores Experience and return to your original design. We advise against changing your Store design repeatedly as this may confuse your buyers.

Thanks for the info Lore. It seems I don't have that option yet. But I think it also might have to do with the store front I have.

So this weekend I will remove it and then see.

Colleen,

My store is through .com and, like you, I have a store front from Auction Ad-Ons. I do have the option of opting in and/or opting out of the NEW EXPERIENCE.

Personally....I prefer NOT to have the NEW EXPEREINCE as it changes certain important keywords to colors that are not easily seen. Also....it makes my pics for new items really small. I'll hold out as long as possible as they fine tune this NEW EXPERIENCE.

On the plus side...I do like the new search abilities that are offered within a store....but not much more.

So, don't go taking your store front away!

I wonder why I don't have the option. But then again at times I'm blind and don't see things right in front of me.

I wouldn't give up my store front as I really like it, but would like to see the difference.

Did you get my emails? I'm waiting for a promised response for yesterday morning...lol.

In a few minutes I am going to go and check BT Pro and see if there is any messages about fixing the BT Problems. I still have that sticky not on my monitor, but it might just fall down. 😉

I have a basic store and sometimes a premium store. My store is through .com and not .ca so that may be the difference? I'm really not sure.

I just contact a representative and they said it's only for US store at the moment. I guess I have to wait until it's available for Canadian stores.

Hi Colleen,

Perhaps eBay in general is offering the NEW EXPERIENCE to a random group of guinea sellers. I would have said guinea pigs...but I didn't want to be disrespectful!

They did the same thing when they were rolling out the new listing views.

I was thinking the same also. Not about being disrespectful of guinea sellers, you're on your own about that...lol.

I'm sure we'll all be able to check it out sooner or later and by then they might have some of the bugs worked out.

Thank you Colleen it is very much appreciated this month.

I handle all my orders that way but this month my DSR has taken a major hit.

I went from
4.95 - 4.89
5.0 - 4.75
4.95 - 4.85
4.84 - 4.71

The one that bothers me the most -
Communication I email everyone, sometimes more than one 🙂 But I can only go up!

At least I still will get 5% this month but the 15% would have been nicer.

Hope the rest of you are having a better month.

I am trying something new for me this month, I am leaving feedback after I mail the orders.

So far I have only received 2 back. INTERESTING?:|
