Opening a premium store ebay.ca or ebay.com?

I'm in the process of deciding to open a premium store and I'm wondering if there are any advantages, differences, disadvantages, etc., based on whether you open the subscription on ebay.com or ebay.ca?

Once upon a time it made a small difference.

Not anymore except that the monthly fees on eBay.ca are in Cdn$ - currently slightly lower than the US$.

For added clarity, I should add for the benefits of all readers, that having a store on either eBay.ca or eBay.com allows you to list your items on any eBay site (eBay.ca, eBay.com, eBay.au, eBay.uk, etc...) and ALL listings will be shown in your store (auction and fixed price formats)

I'm going to assume that your cards are mostly shipped Letter rate, so the advantage of having Calculated Shipping available when listing on dotCA is not applicable.

If you were selling items that needed parcels greater than 2cm thick, you would be better to list on dotCA to allow you to have differential pricing based on destination.

A note about books...should you or anyone else choose to sell books on eBay. 

There is a shipping cap... a maximum of $4.00....  for books on eBay.com.

One can charge more than $4.00 for shipping cost if calculated shipping is used....

When this was introduced,   my store and all of my listings were moved to eBay.ca,

There is no cap for shipping cost when listings are on eaby.ca

Shipping options...

USPS and other US options on ebay.com

Canada Post and other Canadian options  on eBay.ca

When all of the listings are on eBay.ca,  shipping options are readily expressed in US or Canadian dollars.

As a Canadian seller, bulk editing using Canadian options,,, and in US dollars works well on eBay.ca
