Order says Paid and Awaiting Shipment. No sign of funds in paypal account

Is there a paypal issue right now? One order came in and went fine, the next is behaving oddly.

Says it's Paid and Awaiting Shipment but I've no confirmation email from paypal to say money has been received and when I go to the Transaction Details on the Sales Record, I get the following error message when I navigate to my paypal account.

Sorry — your last action could not be completed

If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.

Well. One other ebay user. 

Is this problem widespread? I don't want to have to call Paypal Customer Service. I am already all customer-service-called-out this week. 

I suppose I'll pack the order s - l - o - w - l - y and wait.

It HAS been three hours already that this item was purchased and paid according to ebay.....

Lo and behold, during the 20 minutes I waited on hold for my turn to speak to a rep, the payment arrived. 

He said they'd been doing some site maintenance and certain payments have ben delayed and will continue to be delayed for the next day or two. "Check your paypal account before sending anything out though."

My issue is Resolved.... until the next item sells.

Yes, I was having a grand time talking to myself just as I do at my desk here. No one with which to argue. Haha.

It will be interesting to see if the delayed-funds problem persists as long as the rep said it may.

This has been going on for some time. It comes and goes when it feels like it.
