Did you contact your seller about this problem?

These are forums for buyers and sellers to use. Ebay does not read most of the posts here, and it's very unlikely your seller will see your message either. Contact your seller directly -- the info is with your purchase information (both on eBay and paypal).

This was a GSP item which means it was shipped through the Global Shipping Program.  The listing says it Works perfectly, Guaranteed, even though the reviews for the item indicate that many people thought it was poor quality or didn't fit.

On a GSP item that is NOT AS DESCRIBED you need to file a case through the RESOLUTION CENTER (bottom of the page) and say it was a GSP item.  This way you will get back all the money you paid, both the item price and the GSP shipping.

You can tell the seller what you are doing and why, but the seller can't refund all your shipping fees paid because the seller never received all that money.  The GSP company did.  The GSP does not support returns so what usually happens is you get refunded and end up keeping the item as well.  Or in this case, doing like some of the other unhappy buyers and putting it in the garbage.

In a NAD case the seller would ordinarily pay return shipping to get it back, but that is not possible across borders and the GSP company who ultimately mailed it to you  will not want it back.

Just be sure to say in your claim that it was a GSP item that is Not as Described.

First contact should always be to the seller. It's common courtesy.

BUT.

Don't get into a protracted conversation.

An appropriate response would be an immediate refund. An apology would also be nice, but money first.

Do NOT accept an offer of a replacement. It won't work either, if it ever arrives.

If you don't immediately get a refund from the seller, go for the Dispute.

  • The seller never saw and in not responsible for the GSP charges. Those went to the Canadian government as duty and sales taxes plus a ~$5 service charge to the GSP.

If you decide to file with eBay you have only 30 days from delivery.

Make sure the Dispute says this is a GSP delivered item.
