People that make say multipal bid's all in a roll say within 20 minute's so the price goes up higher

A  person is  selling an item  and you have to put bid's on it ,, a person will open a bid say @ $2.00 , for some unknown reason  that person  will raise the bid every minute interval & stop's bidding at  $20.00 .. Why would a person do this when his 1st bid wasn't beatin by a 2nd bidder ??? Do people do this to help the seller get the most for  there  item ??

Hello 'wingemud...',

What you describe sounds like the standard incremental bidding set up automatically on ebay auctions, depending on how much the initial bid is and how many others come along and try to overtake it.

Have you seen the following link that simply and clearly explains bidding on ebay:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/bidding-overview.html

There are all sorts of other related links on the page you can click on as well, such as automatic bidding and so on.
