Power Seller Status & Canada Post Discount??? Free shipping materials?

Hi everyone! Just got my power seller status and am excited about it.

I read somewhere on here that Canada post gives a discount for power sellers? I currently use Venture One combined with Electronic Shipping Tools with Canada Post, that saves me 8%. How do I sign up with Canada Post as a Power Seller and what is the discount? Can I combine my Venture one and & EST with Power Seller Discount? What would the total discount on shipping be? Does anyone know or do this?

Also anyone know where to get free shipping materials? Anyone use free materials from Purolater, Fedex or UPS and ship them through Canada Post?

At bronze level its only off domestic parcel services, only using EST. Its one level up from a V1 card, not very much. They'll email you a contract number to put in when you log on to your Cnaad post account.

Search PowerSeller discount here. There are some very long threads about it.

And one level up from V1 is rather substantial. My calculations are over 30% off.

I ship with Fedex Ground. I order boxes from Fedex (Free). The only drawback is these boxes are printed Fedex Express and if you ship with them you're charged the high Fedex rate even if your shipping ground. What I do is cut the boxes and reverse them to have the printing on the inside. I get away with this because I'm giving them $500-$600. a month in shipping. I couldn't order boxes from Fedex and use them to ship CP. Sooner or later they will question as to where there boxes are going to.

Sign up for the PowerSeller discount. You can read on this forum in the big old threads where a rate comparison was done...it's all been said before and you don't have to wait for a reply, it's all nicely archived!

I take boxes from walk in stores when I ship FG stuff there and use them to ship small items via CP.
