Hi guys! I was just wondering if anybody knows anything regarding a buyer filing a claim that they never received the item through Paypal. Would any of these be sufficient proof that you have sent the item or does it have to be registered with a signature?
1. I used Canada Posts' online shipping tool a few weeks ago and printed my labels online. I noticed that you get a number from Canada Post for the package but I understand that it only provides info on when the item was shipped and not if it ever arrived. Would Paypal accept this as proof? I recently had this happen and the number was automatically given to Paypal when the claim was filed but the buyer cancelled it before Paypal made a ruling.
2. Would it be sufficient to show Paypal a scan of the Small Packet form that you fill out at the post office?
Also, what happens if the buyer is successful in making a claim against you and there is no money in your Paypal account?
Sorry for the long read but any help would be appreciated!

hi, apparantly, paypal doesn't require/want proof of shipment, but rather proof of delivery. in other words, if you sent it with a tracking number, you'll be able to prove it was delivered or not. without a tracking number (small packet etc..), you're out of luck, exact same thing happened to me...
as far as no moolah in your paypal...don't worry, i think they pull it anyways, leaving paypal account in the red with a kind follow up email asking you to correct your negetive balance...
good luck..and yes, definitely file that claim with cp...that is when they first allow you to...what is it...75 days after delivery...X-(
