Retirement of USD from eBay.ca Selling Flows

This thread is open for discussion regarding the recent announcement about eBay Canada retiring USD support from its selling flows. Myself and other employees will come visit this thread and do our best to answer any questions on this topic.

I see all your recent listings (from August 3rd) listed in Cdn$, not US$.

Please provide GTC listing number and time of renewal.

Gtc listings won't show as newly listed but if you change view to ending soonest and then go to page 5 there are listings there that just renewed in the last couple of days. One listing that just renewed in $US on .ca is item 250693040174

This item has been listed since 2010 (six years ago).  Could that explain the relisting?  Grandfathered?

Good Morning,
Hoping someone could help with this. Under the "Listing Migration Tool", it will not permit me to individually check the items I want to convert to CAD on .ca or move to .com. The only thing it will allow me to do is to "Select all listings". Any ideas/suggestions?

251281303052  was first listed three years ago.  I suspect there is a "grandfather" clause in there somewhere that eBay is missing.

....or maybe, just maybe, these items were listed on eBay.cafr and eBay somehow has forgotten about them!

3 of my GTC listings in USD just renewed themselves this evening ~ still in USD

Something is weird here.

When I check your listings, using the "View Listings" link under your name, and sort them by newly listed, these listings from yesterday in US$ do not show up!  I see about 34 listings, listed or relisted yesterday (Aug 😎 but all in Cdn$ (no US$)

I was working along adding more listings in CAD when all of a sudden these 3 (which were supposed to end yesterday) suddenly came to life again.

I believe ebay intention was to end them as the deadline for GIC usd had passed.

As I mentioned, I'm ok with it as my intention was to migrate them to .com anyway.

Maybe just a gliche in the new system

Looking at your eBay store, I noticed that all you 700+ items are listed in the "others" category.

Have you considered selecting specific store categories for your store so buyers could find things?

Well, whenever I list new or re-list, the ebay system offers only the categories I've been using.

eg:  most of my items are in a)  Needlecraft and Yarn  b) category for cross stitch, needlepoint, plastic canvas or embroidery.

I've not been offered any other categories for these items.

Likewise, when I list or relist Ty Beanie Babies (hopefully to be finished off this year), the ebay listing system offers me "toys and hobbies" then I narrow it down to the category that takes in Ty products.  Nothing else has been sent my way ~ unless there's something I haven't noticed.

Feel free to enlighten me if I've been missing important opportunities as I'm anxious to increase sales and downsize my 'stash'

Please read the link I provided earlier,  You need to set up those store categories through "Manage my Store".

Then they are available to you when you list or relist - near the top of the form..

They don't show up as newly listed but scanning 'other items' and then 'toys and hobbies' they do appear
