If you put an item up for auction, and it sells to the highest bidder of multiple bids, eBay will let you know that you can quickly offer your other identical items to the underbidder.
Obviously, this only works when there are underbidders and where you have multiple items.
With Fixed Price items, you can list as having one item, making it sound scarce, or with 4 or 9 or 17, if you prefer to let the listing repeat until all are sold.
Sometimes,if the sale of a unique item falls through, eBay will encourage you to offer it to the underbidder, but often that bidder has moved on and found it elsewhere.
