No he did not say what the glitch was, he was vague about that. He is also not a new seller with 590 feedback so I don't quite understand this. I will contact him again today, see what he says and then post back here.

but because of a "Paypal" glitch he could not ship my item yet.
Do you back your PP account with a credit card? If not the seller may have to wait up to 10 days for your 'e-cheque' to clear your bank in Canada and PP's bank in the USA.
This is true even if your seller is in Canada.

No the funds came directly out of my Paypal balance, so he received payment right away. Now he is not responding to my email don't really know what to make of this, My initial thought is that he is unhappy with the price he got as he had twice listed the item for over $200 US, but then he put it in as a auction and in the end I got the item for 10% of the Buy it now price that he had on the item. Maybe I am jaded by bad experiences on Ebay, but this all seems rather strange.

Hopefully he will respond after the weekend but the way he is handling this does seem odd.

No the funds came directly out of my Paypal balance,
What's done is done, but you should be aware that this is not a particularly good way to pay for expensive items. If you pay from a credit card, you have not only PP's Buyer Protection but also your card's chargeback policy in case of problems.
Although I will admit that I tend to use the balance in my account, especially when buying in US dollars. Do as I say, not.... sigh.

Well this is an email I just received from the seller, I still don't quite understand his problem which is now my problem too.
"Hi again,
I still have no update from PayPal and I am literally on the phone with them right now to try and figure out whats going on.
Please understand that this is a business, and your item is not the only item I have to ship.
For me to ship it manually, I would have to pay out of my own pocket - because I can not access the money that is in our PayPal, and that is simply not possible. The money is deposited directly into the company bank account, it's in PayPal - which I haven't been able to access in over a week. I have to ship nearly 100 items and it would too long to try do everything manually and individually.
I apologize sincerely for this inconvenience and delay, but it is simply out of my hands.
They assure me that the problem will be fixed within 48 hours, so please, bear with me.
Thank you,
XXXXXX"
Let me know what you folks think?

From the message, it appears his PayPal funds are "frozen", whatever the reason, and he cannot access them to pay for the shipping postage which he normally purchases through PayPal using the funds received from buyers.
While inconvenient, there is nothing for you to lose at this point by waiting a few days and hope his situation with PayPal gets resolved. If not fixed by the end of the week, file a complaint with eBay/PayPal for non-receipt.
It is quite clear the seller does not have the financial resources to run a business, depending on money coming in from buyers to pay for postage. Most of us in a similar situation would go to the post office, get the postage paid with our credit card and send the "stuff" to our buyers. However, it appears from his message that he does not have the financial resources to do that or the inclination ('it would too long to try do everything manually") to do the extra work.
Keep that in mind when the time comes to leave feedback and DSRs (stars).
