Almost a month, 5 days short >_<

Buyer and I paid for express shipping, and it ended up being much later than it was supposed to be. It didn't even go through customs, why was it so late???

I made a file through Canada Post. Will I be able to get a full refund for express post? Is there a money back guarantee with express post for international?

Yes, you should file a claim and they will refund the shipping fees you paid for since the package was delivered later than Service Standard Delivery Date: 2005/11/17

It didn't even go through customs, why was it so late???

How do you know that? Looks like it probably spent over a week in UK customs at least that's what I see from the tracking info.

I know we always seem to be knocking CP deliveries but I feel I have to share this one with all of you.
I sent out a package to the UK (Wales) via Small Packet Air on Dec. 1st at 4:PM. I checked my Feedback yesterday afternoon (Dec.5th) and read the top one that said;Lightening Delivery from Canada, Great Item, Many Thanx !!! When I checked which shipment that belonged to, I couldn't believe it. It was the one sent to the UK. This must be some sort of record. Anyway my Hats off to CP for this one.

I don't have much to complaint with CP, other than high rates. In my experience they have always refunded me for packages when they take longer than their standard. It's part of the service they offer, and when something goes wrong in the other countr for example, they do claim damages from the receiving country. There is a big part of this business we are barely aware of.

Anyway, my absolute record with CP is a Small Packet Air I sent to Connecticut on a Friday (i am in Ottawa). The lady wrote me on the Monday!!! She had received the watch! But she didn't understand what was going on, since she had purchased a different watch a week earlier and had not yet received it.

Inconsistent? Maybe a little, but I still think that was amazing...

I sent out 2 packages in Mid-December via CP. 1 to texas and the other to Montreal from the Toronto area. The package arrived in Texas in 3 days, and the package to Montreal took over 2 weeks. I used the same level of service on both.

I also shipped an item to Brazil over 1 month ago, and has yet to arrive. Has anyone done this before??

There seems to be a possible problem with packages mailed on December 5th from Toronto (I have 4 missing).

Very hard to tell if there is any pattern but at least two others have reported similar mia's for that date. What date and where did you mail from?

They were among a batch sent on the 15th/16th December, and dropped off at the local main postal station in downtown Toronto, Staion F on Charles Street

I have experienced very inconsistent service when shipping to Brazil and Portugal...

Sometimes quite fast, other times takes months. I have made claims to CP and have been compensated in most cases, but still... aggravates the buyers.

Actually that's not so strange, mailed AFTER the Christmas rush they are just sitting around twiddling their ????

In all likelyhood any 'missing' mail from early December is probably in a mailbag and/or container etc. in a dark corner, at some point somebody will stumble over it and say 'hey what this?'

I have had the worst holiday season ever for missing airmail small packets. I have 6 people from December 9th to 15th who claim they have not gotten their packages. All were US. 3 Of them have initiated Paypal chargebacks. Last year, I think I had 1.

I posted here a while back about my missing UK shipment. Since that posting MOST of them have finally arrived. I still have a few outstanding.

I ended up refunding for 3 of them (which was a pretty large expense considering I have no merchandise to show for it) I included a note with the refund requesting that if the item did show up they either pay for it or return it.

....And guess what? Within 2 days 2 of my refunded buyers actually received their parcels and willingly sent me payment. I guess I have been jaded by E-bay and when I made the request I honestly had no hope that anyone would honor it. Past experience tells me that most buyers would just keep the item and never make amends.

This experience has actually renewed my faith in the fact that most people, most of the time, are basically honest.

I sent a package out on Dec 7th via small packet air mail to California, and it hasn't arrived yet. I already refunded the money. I am very very upset by this. Canada Post is making me wait the full 45 days before they will even begin to talk about a refund. It was a $200 item too, and of course CP will only refund up to $100. I ASSUMED the package would just be DELIVERED and I wouldn't have to worry about extra insurance...my mistake I guess.

I have sent a parcel surface to London England from Victoria, now six weeks & nothing, have refunded buyer money. Canada Post of course! and they only provided insurance for $100
