Shipping rates to my fellow Canadian Customers

HELP !! This is driving me absolutely NUTS !!

I ship basically 12" vinyl records.I live in Wasaga Beach Ontario, approx. 90 miles from Toronto Ontario.

Here is my dilemma.

To ship 1 LP to Toronto costs my customer $8.25 expedited.

To ship 1 LP tp Victoria B.C. costs my customer $12.95 expedited.

To ship 1 LP to Winnipeg Manitoba costs my customer $10.50 expedited.

To ship 1 LP to St John's Newfoundland costs my customer $13.95 expedited.

And on & on & on. I am sure all of my fellow Canadian sellers know EXACTLY what I am getting at here.

Now....because of eBay's new ruling regarding shipping costs and you have to have them in your ad, all of my ads state that Canadian shipping rates are estimates only...they reflect shipping to Toronto.... and do not pay until I send a correct invoice.

Well......people DON'T read/listen and I often receive payment with $8.25 for shipping (paid  already)from someone in B.C. or Newfoundland or Manitoba.....then begins the process of getting back to them....explaining the shipping costs....sending a PayPal money request(which again costs us sellers more money) etc. etc.

Does SOMEONE in Canada have a better way ??

I eagerly await your replies.

THANKS

Stan

Why don't you use the shipping calculator? It would give you rates based on postal code.

I use flat rate shipping. I'm in AB and I calculate shipping to Toronto and use this as my flat rate. It pretty much evens it out over the year.

The shipping calculator is NOT accurate.

The shipping calculator is accurate. You must however use metric measurements and a digital scale so that what you enter is correct.

Then, if your problem is that your PO doesn't agree with your dimensions and upcharges you, your first step is to get your scale working correctly. Your second step is to stop going to the PO counter and instead print your labels at home and drop your parcels in the red box outside the PO door (or the one on the corner if you prefer and it accepts parcels).
