Some Buyers

I just recently had a buyer threating me with feedback, what losers.

He purchased something from me Feb 27th, I shipped it Feb 28th, and messaged me last night saying there disappointed they have not received it, if they don't get it by the end of this week they will neutral feedback, after that it will be negative feedback if it takes any longer.

God, I cant wait to get my own site up and working so I can get the hell of eBay and stop being black mailed by buyers. I wish I could hit the buyer or eBay, either one would be great. Thanks.

If they mentioned the word "if ... then negative feedback" that could qualify for Feedback Extortion, depending on who you talk to.

Where was your shipment going to ? Maybe explain to client shipping delays and that package has insurance if lost.

Your buyer sure is unreasonable but the proper thing to do is respond politely explaining that the item was promptly shipped and is now in the hands of the post office, to which you should explain the estimated delivery time and that the delay (if there is one) is not something you have any control over. I usually work my responses along these lines:

Dear eBay user:

I understand it can be worrisome when items don't arrive when we expect them to. I know your items are important to you and strive to get them out as quickly as possible. I can confirm that your item was promptly and carefully shipped on day x. Please note that delivery can take from x-y days. At this time your item has been in the Post Office's hands for x days and is not considered delayed. I hope this helps explain. Your business is greatly valued and appreciated. If you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It may or may not help but responding in an aggressive way will only makes matters worse. As the seller you are supposed to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Bad buyers will always be present when you are running a business. You have to do what you can to difuse an unfavorable situation and if there is no reasoning, put it behind you as fast as you can because there are good buyers out there that need your attention!

HTH!

If sent to Canada maybe supply your client with tracking information and they will see online date when shipped and expected arrival date. Some clients are impatient but if you use good communication they will be reasured.

I messaged him back and kindly told him, when it was shipped and how long it could take which is 2 - 3 days. Just dont understand some buyers, they sometimes act like it will arrive at there house the next day like I am an online walmart where you can just zoom down the street pick it up and get back home. Thanks.
