Some ebay listing policies are ridiculous

So I HAD a listing for a pair of shorts that I was selling

The shorts are by the brand Citizens of Humanity

The style of the shorts are called Chloe

So my listing was titled "Womens Citizens of Humanity Chloe Floral Highwaisted Shorts 25"

And what does Ebay do? TELLS ME that I'm violating listing policies because I have included the word "CHLOE" in my listing which is also known as a popular handbag company

EBAY: as far as I am concerned, "CHLOE" is a generic name that is NOT copyrighted by one handbag company. The name is used everywhere and for everything. So are you telling me that if I am an individual looking to sell blank t-shirts with the girl's name "CHLOE" on them that my listing could only say "BLANK T SHIRT WITH GIRLS NAME". THIS IS RIDICULOUS

Chloe is also a dress designer. I have had a dress pattern designed by them for Vogue Patterns removed. The company is part of the VERO program and very careful about guarding their trademarks. Their products are often counterfeited by the way, so that caution is valid.

In your specific case, remove the word CHLOE from the title. It really is not an important point like size or colour. Problem solved. In my case that is exactly what I did. The trademarked name appeared on the package and as I recall in the description. It sold.

The problem does not arise outside of the categories where the designer is active (clothing, purses). I noticed in researching this answer that I have a book whose author's name is Chloe and there was not problem with listing it.
