Someone in a thread I read earlier today made a comment about using CP EST with thermal printers...he mentioned he had an Eltron model, but didn't specify which one.
How many of you use thermal printers? If you do, what model do you use?
Thanks.

I have 2 Thermal printers but dont use either one of them. One of them is an Eii Label Printer which I believe is one used by Fedex in the US and the other is a TEC Thermal printer.
I had planned to use them for shipping with CP but havent gotten around to it in over a year since I bought them.
On the other hand I also have 2 fairly expensive HP ink jet Printers, and Epson ink jet printer, one older dot matrix and a big high end laser printer that I dont use either.
I found that switching to a couple of $65 Canon i250 ink jet printers, I can do all of my eBay printing and purchase generic cartridges for only $3.95 for black and $8.95 for colour instead of what the other cartridges were costing me.

It was me, I have an eltron 2642, CPC's system also works with the 2742 and the Zebra 2746 and 2844. Eltron is now owned ny Zebra
UPS uses 2742 so you can buy one from someone in the US that doesn't use it anymore (UPS used to give them away to their customers)
The amount of money you save in packaging, paper and Ink or Toner is worth it ! (at least it's for me)
If you need more info, email me
Merry Xmas to all ! and a great 2005
