Not quite sure what I'm going to do with them since they're not padded and I require padded mailers most of the time, but hey, they're cool. Maybe I'll put padded envelopes into the bags and mail them that way.

Also, I'm quite happy with the PowerSeller Canada Post discount...I think I ended up with a 20% cut off counter rates for within Canada which is superb.

Yay!

Does the PS discount with CP apply to O/S letters? I ship my games in padded mailers and they're barely thin enough to send O/S letter mail.

No. There's another thread dealing with the discount. I'll bump it.

How did you guys manage to order more than 100? I just tried reordering and it wouldn't let me have more than 100. 😞 I think it's kinda dum having to have them sent out in multiple shipments. Canada Post waste yet again.

I guess they changed it after getting several orders for 500 at a time. lol

So what are we going to do with them all? Tie them end to end in one really long Power Seller chain? :^O

The Powerseller bags are rather neat - love the labelopes! Now that I've switched to the bags can anyone out there recommend where I can buy bubble wrap in bulk? I've seen it on Ebay from US sellers but I'm a bit concerned about getting slapped with duties. Any cheaper Canadian suppliers or am I stuck with Staples/Business Depot?

I purchase bubble wrap in 250' to 500' rolls X 4' wide. How much do you need to buy?

You can get in touch with most packaging companies as well as moving companies. Call several and get some prices.

It will also depend on the size of bubbles.

I have a quick question. I ordered the bags without signing up for the online shipping discount. Has anyone mailed one of these bags out using the small white small packet label? Thanks.

ononokajibwa,

The cheapest retail outlet I've found for bubblewrap is Home Depot, of all places. Lots cheaper that Staples.

While we're talking about packing material, what about peanuts? I'm not too concerned at the moment since I've got a fridge box full of them in my garage, but I'd ideally like to know where I can get them inexpensively (besides in packages being shipped to you). Thanks.

Again, if you look in your Yellow Pages under Packaging Companies, you will find everything you need and many can give you the quantities you want however, as with most things, the more you purchase at one time, the cheaper the cost.

At the worst, most will be far cheaper than Staples or Home Depot by a landslide.

Some Packaging Companies even have a cash and carry.

Set up a company account with them and you will probably qualify for an up-front discount.

I buy from 2 different packaging companies.
