Does anybody have any tips in why a lot of my clients are not leaving feedback?
I sell Tech Items.
When an Item is sold I
1)I send an email Thank you for your Payment
2)I create an online shipping Label
3)I send an email to my clients with the tracking # and I ship within 24 hours.
4)I keep track of all the tracking #'s and check daily for items in transit that arrived to there destinations.
5)Send an email to Please leave me feedback.

Hey michaeltech, I find some customers just disappear and don't communicate or leave feedback at all!
I do all of what you do, except my #5 is sending them an email asking if everything arrived OK and to contact me if there is a problem. This normally results in feedback getting left. I then reciprocate.
All the best.
Andrew

Half the people don't care about feedback, they only care about getting a great deal!
I only leave feedback once it's left for me.

When I started selling I had the same issue - wasn't getting feedback.
Then I started to not leave feedback until the buyer did (so i was sure they did recieve their product and were happy - if not I could resolve the issue for them). In each package I send out I add a small note (I have them ready to go and photocopied) with a small treat. The note says thanks for your purchase. To ensure that i know you've recieved your item and are satisified please leave feed back..and I will do the same for you.
Amazingly enough...most of my customers now leave feed back.

That's actually a good idea...! i too, only leave feedback after i receive it, of course, i do that for other reasons, but i think it is a motivation for buyers to leave feedback, so i can reciprocate. my theory (well, for my case anyways) is that if someone isn't really satisfied with their purchase, but not really OVERLY dissatisfied, they just won't leave feedback, plain and simple. they don't feel a positive is deserved, but they don't want to mark you with a neutral or negetive either (for fear of also getting it back), so they just don't leave anything. in looking at items where people haven't left me feedback (excluding newbies or those who don't leave feedback as a habit), they were usually buyers who had some confusion about the item AFTER receiving it, either they didn't read the description properly, or whatever. i think they feel they're letting you off the hook by NOT leaving a neutral or a negetive, since they don't feel a positive is deserved. that's my theory for some of my clients that haven't left feedback (there's not too many of them, but enough to be a pattern).
i think if you follow some steps above, you'll probably see your feedbacks left increase..

We too ad a Thank You For Your Purchase note which also provides them with information on how to contact us in the event the item arrives damages or not as described.
Our note also offers a 2% cashback paid to their paypal account once positive feedback is left.
In addition, we also have a REFER-A-FRIEND offer which pays them 5% on any sales that their friend makes. The cashbacks are only paid out after the 45 PAYPAL DISPUTE WIDNOWS has expired so like this we limit our exposure to scammers.

FTL

Lots of good ideas here! I have been hand writing a thank you on each invoice. If feedback has not been left after 2 or 3 weeks I send a message saying I am just following up to make sure they received the item and if everything is satisfactory...if so, please leave feedback. Sales have been slow the last 2 weeks and so has my feedback received. Maybe it is the time of year and many people are doing other things and not spending as much time on their computers. Who knows?
