Hi all,

I need some help here. I tried to use the NEW system for listing items and it wouldn't take my personal template. Has anyone else had and conquered this problem? I have written to EBay but received a reply that was "totally off topic" - don't suppose a real person read my email. I keep seeing these warnings that, as of the end of April, I must start using this new system. Tomorrow is the first day of May - so, I really would appreciate some advice.

I found that the new listing format totally messed with my HTML. I had to revise all of my listings.

What is the error message you are getting?

Hi Monique,
I am not sure that I can explain my problem so that anyone can understand it. I have always been able to cut and paste my template into the box provided for the item description and the actual template shows up. Now I am only getting the various hieroglyphics that go into making a template. I have hit the HTML button but that didn't work either. I am afraid that, come tomorrow, I won't be able to list anything. Can you understand my layman's lingo?!

....at the risk of sounding like a moron...what the heck are you talking about???? what new listing format??? i list something different all the time, so i don't use bulk listings..is this why i don't know what you're talking about??

Kat,
You are probably using the new listing format if you haven't been receiving messages that you have to change the way you do your listings. I am a real creature of habit and have been sticking to the old method because I am familiar with it. Don't worry about it if you are not receiving any warning messages - you are probably fine.

Kat, the new Sell Your Item form.

Renee, I was told by ebay that they would continue to make the old SYI version available until the new version interfaced properly with SMPro. I don't think it is compatible yet with SMPro inventory (not as of early today anyway).

There is an ongoing thread about the HTML issue on the PS .com board.

Thanks, Ann. I hope that they will continue to let me use the old format until they get it solved. I find it a bit odd that I haven't heard from anyone. I emailed them yesterday.

I have just received a response to my email. Apparently I sent my inquiry to the wrong email address. That caused a delay in their response. I sent my email to: powersellersinfo@ebay.com and that site is only for into pertaining to Power Seller status. I SHOULD have directed my message to: http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_us/_base/index.html

This poses another question from me. Is there someone here who can write a message giving some of the newbies the proper contact sites for various questions we might have? This COULD include the telephone numbers that we are eligible to use. Every time I need help I never know where to turn, who to address, what site to send emails to, etc. I have found live help most helpful at times but there is often a backlog of people waiting to get on line. Maybe I am expecting too much but, if someone would like to tackle this, I am sure that there would be many grateful souls!
