Could someone explain to me what VeRO is.

It is now appearing on listings with a button to report an infringement to Ebay?

Under VeRo program original developers of product can request e-bay to take item from the listing if they believe that their copyright was infringed.

For example if you sell OEM (not retail) version of Windows, Microsoft will shot you listing down.

Thanks.... is this new? I don't remember seeing it before.

I think it is a good idea, but I wish they would have put the information and button at the end of the bid/buy info instead of right under the description.

VeRo can be very good, but it's also abused. I was once naru'd over a Vero incident. I took a picture of some Zumba tapes I was selling. Apparently this was not allowed. It was my own picture but the VERO people didn't want anyone putting pics in the auctions. It was a real pain getting back on ebay and also, all my auctions were pulled. What a mess.

Many companies are vero members.......Gucci for example. You read horror stories about legitimate auctions being shut down. It's a shame really.

But why does it appear sometimes and not others?

(ie at 5 PM it was on my auctions, at 9 PM it was gone)
